About Us
Mill Hill u3a is open to retired and semi-retired people living in the NW7 postcode area, who come together and learn together, not for qualifications but for learning and company’s own rewards: the sheer joy of discovery! It is a friendly ‘club’ with around 1,200 members. Monthly meetings with a live speaker and refreshments are held once a month in Hartley Hall off Mill Hill Broadway and are a good way to meet and chat with other members. In many instances the talks are available for later viewing on YouTube.
We have around 48 different interest groups where members may share their skills and life experiences – the learners teach and the teachers learn, and there is no distinction between them. Photography (Digital)
A member of the group will lead a session on a specific aspect or topic of photography. For “photo-shoot” outings, we often have a theme for the outing and an experienced photographer to advise on aspects of photography.

Music: Classical unsung composers by Vimeo
Over a period of a few hundred years, only a small number of Western classical composers have made it to the musical “mainstream”. Hundreds of accomplished composers, (“unsung composers”) whose works rival those of Bach, Chopin, Ravel or Dvorak or took a new direction in music, have fallen through the cracks of time, known only within their home countries or considered mere footnotes in musical history.
