Chair Yoga

Our teacher, Tracey, takes us through a series of simple exercises covering all parts of the body. It’s mostly sitting down, though some standing, if possible, is involved. It uses all our muscles and improves strength, flexibility, mobility and balance. We sometimes work on sitting down versions of yoga positions. Stretch and yoga bands are often used to help us get more out of the exercises. Everyone works at the level they feel comfortable with. Yoga also teaches us breathing and relaxing techniques and we always finish each session for a short time concentrating on our breathing and relaxing.
At present the cost is £12 for a set period of 4-weeks, even if some sessions are missed. It will go down if the numbers increase. The fees are to cover the fixed costs of the hall and Tracey and so members will need to make a regular commitment.
