Latin Revision

Group details

The object of the group is to re-learn as much as possible of the Latin that we learned many years ago, and if possible to go on to read some Latin texts, including some modern translations as well as some classics.

The group has two scholars with Latin degrees, Liz Kettle and Will Fyans, to guide our progress.

Our initial text is “Learning Latin” by Peter Jones who writes for the Daily Telegraph and the Spectator. If we complete that we will move to something a little more advanced. Several of our members are looking forward to reading “Winnie the Pooh” and “Asterix the Gaul” in Latin.

No costs other than text books used.
