“Come and explore Normandy, renowned for its pretty rural towns and villages and coastal towns of Deauville, Trouville-sur-Mer and Honfl eur. Our 4-night tour will be based in the centre of Rouen, so the sights, restaurants are all within easy walking distance of our carefully chosen hotel. During our stay the Son-et-Lumiere, a free Cathedral Light Show, takes place in Rouen with dazzling illuminations projected on the building’s façade and the Cathedral of Notre Dame is highlighted each year thanks to an incredible show of sound and light. In addition to Rouen and the Normandy coast, a visit to Fondation Claude Monet – the home and gardens of the world famous artist is also included.”

Your Itinerary:
Day 1 – We depart from Mill Hill at approx. 09.15hrs. and travel south to Folkestone arriving in time to check-in for a late morning Eurotunnel service to Calais. From here the coach will continue through France, stopping for lunch in Boulogne-Sur-Mer, before continuing to the capital of Normandy – Rouen. Here accommodation has been reserved at the impressive, centrally located, Mercure Rouen Cathedrale Hotel for 4 nights on a bed & breakfast basis. The hotel is unable to provide any evening meals during our stay, however, they have arranged for a 3-course set evening meal only on the fi rst evening at a nearby restaurant at the additional cost of £18.00 per person, therefore, if you prefer to have the peace of mind knowing where you will eat on the fi rst night, please tick the box on the booking form, the additional cost for which will be added to your overall invoice.
Day 2-4 – During your stay the following excursions are included the days of operation will be advised closer to the departure. A panoramic guided tour of Rouen on the coach and on foot, after the tour the remainder of the day will be at leisure in Rouen.
A full day excursion to Giverny and Monet’s Garden where group entrance is included. During the afternoon, the coach will continue to Vernon on the banks of the river Seine, with its gothic church, fi ne arts museum, 12th century castles and the famous old mill, there are lots of lovely shops, little cafés and restaurants. The coach will depart during the late afternoon for the journey back to our hotel. Morning at leisure in Rouen. During the early afternoon, the coach will depart for the Normandy coast – Côte Fleurie and the chic resort of Deauville. Here you will have free time before continuing to Trouville, a charming fi shing port, with rich architectural heritage. During the early evening the coach will continue along the coast to picture postcard Honfl eur, on the Seine’s estuary – ports don’t come any prettier than Honfl eur Glorious historic houses jostle for position on the quays as do galleries. You will be free to enjoy an evening meal (cost not included) in one of the many restaurants that surround the port or nestle in the alleyways. The coach will depart at approx. 22.00hrs. for the return journey to the hotel.
Day 5 – Check out of the hotel after breakfast and travel the short journey to Lyons-la-Foret, classifi ed as one of the most beautiful villages in France. The coach will depart during the early afternoon for the journey back to Calais, arriving in time to check-in for late afternoon Eurotunnel service to Folkestone. Arrival back to your local area will be during the mid evening.
