Further Information About The Travel Group

We book through a recognised Tour Company, and, in liaison with them, choose a venue, request what we would like to see and where we would like to visit in the area, and then get a brochure printed. Single rooms are always in great demand and we really do strive to get the best allocation we can.

Before booking any Mill Hill U3A Travel trip please read the following:

Fitness: Mill Hill U3A does not accept any responsibility for your fitness to undertake the trip, itinerary or journey. By committing to a trip, you are declaring that you are in reasonable health and fit to travel, that you can mount and alight from the coach unaided, that you can carry your own luggage, and that you are fully aware of the itinerary.  You are responsible for your own health and safety throughout the tour.

The Group Leader is just an ordinary member who has volunteered to help, not a paid tour guide, and, like yourselves, is paying the full cost of the trip. Please be aware that it is their holiday too, so do not expect them to spend all their time looking after the group. Obviously, in emergency they will do their best to help.

Insurance. Please be clear that Members are required to have adequate travel insurance when travelling with The MHU3A Travel Group and to provide proof of it when requested.

Travel insurance is not included in the cost of any Mill Hill U3A Travel trip but some of the tour companies offer insurance. It is the responsibility of the individual to decide whether the policy meets their needs and whether to purchase this or make their own insurance arrangements.

Coach drivers are not insured to assist passengers alighting from the coach nor to carry passengers’ luggage, other than loading it in and out of the coach. It is therefore passengers’ responsibility to carry their own travelling-bags and to check that the driver loads them from the pavement into the coach.

If a hotel offers porterage, this will be stated clearly in the brochure.

Within reason we can request special dietary needs.

Booking a MHU3A Travel trip is confirmation that you have read, understood, and accepted the above.

Deposits for the holidays can be paid by cheque, credit card or debit card (not cash) Please print out the booking form from the website, fill it in, scan it and email it to: travelmhu3a@gmail.com or contact us if you have problems
