Anyone for backgammon and new social friendships?

Our backgammon group has become well established since we started in 2022, with players of all standards coming to our sessions. The group’s main objective is fun through playing backgammon. ALL ARE WELCOME!

Sessions are usually held on Mondays and Thursdays – see 2024 dates below. Sessions run from 11:00 am to 13:00 pm, followed by lunch. Some players stay after lunch for informal play.

2024 dates: Jan: 4, 15, 25.  Feb: 5, 15, 26.  Mar: 7, 18, 28.  Apr: 8, 18, 29.  May: 9, 20, 30.  Jun: 10, 20. Jul: 1.

Some of us meet informally on other occasions to play and chat. Our more experienced players are always happy to provide guidance for those who are new to the game. Our games are held in a very congenial pub in Mill Hill.

We don’t gamble. Some of our more experienced players like to use the doubling cube,  but only if agreed by both players.

Our group does not charge session fees but the pub expects each of us to buy refreshments and lunch there in return for making no charge to us for the use of their premises.
