Built in the early 1700’s, today the Palace is home to one of the most important and extensive collections in Europe, including portraits, furniture, sculpture and tapestries. A masterpiece of Baroque architecture, Blenheim is home to the 12th Duke of Marlborough and family and the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill. Blenheim Palace is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The Formal Gardens surround the Palace. They include the majestic Water Terraces, the Duke’s Private Italian Garden, the tranquil Secret Garden with all its hidden treasures, the new Churchill Memorial Garden and the beautifully delicate Rose Garden.
